Welcome to North Wash Outfitters! Located in Bluff, Utah, we operate our Canyoneering Adventures in a section of the great canyon country known as the Colorado Plateau.

Canyoneering or as it is called by other names throughout the world "Canyoning , Kloofing, Gorge Walking, River Tracing and Stream or River Trekking," refers to walking, hiking, scrambling, climbing, stemming, jumping, rappelling, and/or swimming through tight, narrow, and often times deep slot canyons. In the United States, Canyoneering is often thought of as canyons being somewhat dry - very rarely any flowing water with only standing pools.

Canyoneering is often debated as to what it really is. Is it a sport or just a hike? Some classify it as an adventure sport and is even being included in sections of adventure / endurance races. Others classify it as just a form of progressive hiking with some rappelling. Canyoneering uses many of the same rope and climbing techniques as rock climbing and therefore brings a little more than just a hike through a stream route. Adventure sport? Progressive hiking? Come join us and we will let you be the judge of that!

North Wash Outfitters offers different opportunities to get you out and experience Canyoneering. From guided trips to full length courses, our goal is to get you comfortable in the Canyoneering environment. Asided from Guided Canyoneering trips and full length Canyoneering Courses, we can also help outfit you with the proper equipment to get you started on your own explorations. Canyoneering Courses

As an Accredited School of the American Canyoneering Association (ACA), we take pride in knowing that you will receive the best possible instruction. We are thrilled to offer Canyoneering courses in the Four Corners area with close access to the Colorado Plateau.

Our local canyons are perfect training canyons and a great place to practice hands on techniques. Join North Wash Outfitters in Bluff for a fantastic Canyoneering learning experience.
